LE Castle Vania
From influential dance music trend setter to an accomplished leader in the film and game composing industries, Le Castle Vania has maintained his status as a prominent figure in the global electronic music scene for over a decade. Touring and performing all over the world, Le Castle Vania has brought his unique sound to headlining shows worldwide and major music festivals including Electric Daisy Carnival, Ultra Music Festival, TomorrowWorld, Electric Zoo, and more. Dance music fans who were born and bred when bloghaus and electro house ruled the scene are all too familiar with the rise of Le Castle Vania, whose anthems “Zero Machine” and remixes of “Black Eyes” and “Rave Is King” defined the era. But that was just the beginning of a storied career in which he has continued to push the boundaries of electronic music. With releases on acclaimed labels such as deadmau5’s mau5trap records and remixes for major artists like Kaskade, Le Castle Vania’s role in the surge of dance music over the past 10+ years is undeniable.
While Dylan Eiland is revered for his dance floor weapons, there’s much more to Le Castle Vania than just club bangers. In 2013, Le Castle Vania was heavily involved in creating and curating the sound of the global hit film John Wick, leading him to work on the continuing film franchise. Le Castle Vania contributed several pieces of original music written specifically for the films, even appearing as himself in Keanu Reeves’ infamous concert-meets-shoot-out scene in John Wick: Chapter 2 — what’s more, Le Castle Vania’s “John Wick Mode” holds over 30 million streams on Spotify alone.
In addition to his work on box-office hits, Le Castle Vania is a skilled audio developer and composer in the gaming industry. After creating original music for games such as Payday 2, he assumed the role of Director of Audio at First Contact Entertainment, a forward-thinking video game developer specializing in VR content. Within his role, Le Castle Vania has facilitated the development of first-party content for Sony PlayStation and Meta’s Oculus platform — his résumé includes massive hit games such as Firewall: Zero Hour and Solaris: Offworld Combat which include his own original music as well as sound design and dialog supervision.
Outside of his leading role in the gaming industry, Le Castle Vania has also been handpicked to create and curate original factory content and sound design for some of the world’s most renowned music production software companies, including Serum by Xfer Records and Reason by Propellerhead. Although his journey in the music industry has led him to technical and behind-the-scenes work, Le Castle Vania continues to stay true to his passion with his own record label and original music. As the founder of dance music imprint Always Never and the online electronic music production collective Sonic Armory, Le Castle Vania has never lost sight of his roots.
Setting a precedent for what it means to truly be a powerhouse in the entertainment industry, Le Castle Vania has successfully transformed his passion for music into a culture-defining profession. With his bold and innovative attitude towards electronic music and artistry, it’s safe to say there is simply no one quite like Le Castle Vania.
